Spencer Brook Music Festival August 21st-26th, 2017
Since 1986 the Spencer Brook Music Festival in Concord, MA, has offered string students a fantastic week of making music in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Participants – from 2nd through 12th grade – play in small chamber music groups and also in big orchestras. They practice in technique workshops, get individual coaching, and enjoy student and faculty performances.
Whether beginners ready for their first orchestra experience, or advanced students taking on a Beethoven string quartet, the Spencer Brook Music Festival will be a summer highlight.
Festival Director Paul Leder leads a faculty of dynamic musicians, noted for their excellence as performers and teachers.
Musical activities–chamber music, orchestra, and sectional coaching–run from 9:00-12:30. The week culminates in a gala concert (open to family, friends, and the public) on Saturday, August 26th at 12:00 noon.
Tuition: $425 before April 17th; $465 later.
Location: 54 Walden Street in Concord, MA.
